WICKED 10: Harrison Clark

Firstly, tell us what part you played and what year(s) you were in the company!
I was Chistery/Cover Boq. And I did the entire U.K Tour. 13-15.

Do you remember seeing WICKED for the first time? When and where was it?
My mum had taken me to see Idina Menzel in the London production as a Christmas present. She still says she'd never seen me so excited. I was 13/14 (24 now) and I said to my mum - I would give anything to be in that show, even if I was backstage....

Did you ever think you’d be in the show one day?
That night I kind of made a pact in my head that I was gonna do it. It still seemed impossible with the amount of people that were also desperate to do the show.

What is your best memory from your time at WICKED?
Far too many to pick. On stage though - the first time I ran underneath Deej (our Elphaba) cape at the end of defying gravity on opening night- I definitely cried.

Tell us one embarrassing story from your time in the show…
Falling over happens a lot in that show. With all the climbing/partner work. Once I fell of one of the climbing frames and made a massive loud bang in the background of the Wizards scene. That was funny.

If you could return to WICKED and play any other character, which would it be and why?
I'd love to play Boq full time at some point. That would be epic.

Do you have a favourite part of the show?
I'd like to be alternative and say something different but it has to be Elphaba. She's epic. And strong.

The WICKED movie has confirmed its release date, is there any famous names you’d like to see in it?
Daisy Ridley is one of my BEST friends and has a cracking voice. So she'd nail Nessa. Or even Elphaba.

If you could describe WICKED in less than 5 words, what would they be?
Epic. Magical. Inspiring. Powerful........Green!
