Top Features on Pocket Size Theatre in 2020

One thing we LOVE doing here at Pocket is working on features; some are just a bit of fun, some are to promote the good people are doing and others to fulfill your stagey needs! They've always been a super popular thing on our site, so heres the top 10 features that you guys loved!

This year, with the increase of people starting businesses due to being out of work, we thought we'd help promote some of those people and collected together some of the people we thought we particularly wonderful! Did you shop small this Christmas?

The production shot artiles are still, to this day, our most viewed piece EVER! So, of course we had to make a Lockdown edition! Looking back on it, I can't say a lot has changed...

This year, the Wonderful 'Captured by Liz' teamed up with us at Pocket to produce this fantatsic article. Taking a look at perfomers off stage and 'Outside the Spotlight', this first piece of the series took us to the Barbican with Jed Berry (Kinky Boots, The Book of Mormon, Fanny and Stella).

The support and enthusiam of our first Christmas List artcile was just so wonderful, we couldn't help but make a part 2! Through the first piece, a lot of businesses we're introduced to us from the business owners themselves or from being passed on by others, I certainly bought a few things from this list!

The 'Where are they Now?' is one of our top viewed pieces ever! After articles on How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, Any Dream Will Do, I'd Do Anything, Over the Rainbow, Grease is the Word and Fame: The musical it was time for us to make a new edition to the group! Not passed on a TV reality show but this time, on the UK's answer to Glee and High School Musical!

Another beautiful piece by 'Captured by Liz, this time she went along to the gorgeous Southwark with & Juliet, White Christmas & Eugeinus actor, Alex Tranter! He chats to us all about what inspired him growing up, & Juliet opening up its doors again and making his last minute Shakespeare debut!

Our stagey little brains sometimes come up with the most random ideas, this one was inspired by the absoltley brilliant Moulin Rouge soundtrack! Jukebox musicals are a modern-day staple in Musical Theatre so we took a look at some songs that feature in more than one show! And not all are from Jukebox musicals, some suprises in there!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who spent many hours googling the most random and rediculous stuff during Lockdown! One day, I discovered the Guinness World Record website! Searching throuhg and finding all those stagey records was just too much fun for my little brain so I just had to share some of the best finds!

Another gorgeous article from 'Captured by Liz', this time with Six the musical, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Bat Out of Hell actor, Vicki Manser! She, along with the wonderful Liz, took a stroll down Denmark Street in the middle of Central London and chat all things Sunny Afternoon, her music and being the Artistic Director of Sharpe Academy!

One of our most recent articles, we took a look into some of the best onstage quick changes in musical theatre! I'm a sucker for an onstage change so what better way to celebarte them and put them all in one place! Did we miss any off? Drop us a tweet!
