Brits on Broadway | Part 2


After the success of our first Article, 12 Brits Who are flying the Flag on Broadway, we thought we'd bring this one back and celebrate the Brits who are showing New York what they can do! It's so many peoples dream to play on Broadway and these actors are lucky enough to be doing that, so take a read and join us in celebrating these wonderful performers. 

Ruth Wilson


Originally from Surrey, Ruth has returned to Broadway to play Cordelia in King Lear. She made her Broadway debut in Nick Payne’s Constellations, opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. Film credits include The Little Stranger, Dark River, Suite Française, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger, and Anna Karenina. Her London Theatre credits include Anna Christie & A Streetcar Named Desire (both at the Donmar Warehouse) and Hedda Gabler at the National Theatre. 



Ashley Andrews

A seasoned West End performer, Ashley is currently a Swing and assistant dance captain on King Kong. He most recently featured in the US transfer of Jesus Christ Superstar after being in the production in the UK, his other credits include An American in Paris, Wicked, Chicago, Billy Elliot, Jekyll and Hyde, Mack and Mabel. @ashleyjandrews 
Ralph Brown

Born in Cambridge, Ralph is currently playing Muldoon in The Ferryman. He is an actor and writer, his credits include Gemini Man, Final Score, Crying Game, Alien 3, Wayne’s World 2, Up’N’Under, I’ll Be There, Star Wars Phantom Menace, Jack The Giant Slayer, Contractor, I Anna and Tower Block. @Ralphwjbrown



Rana Roy

After being born in the UK, Rana moved away spending time in Dubai and America before returning to study in London. She is currently appearing the the Broadway production of INK. She starred in “Queen America” opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones. Recurring on NBC’s The Night Shift, CW’s Life Sentence and Underground. Rana began her career as a dancer on the BBC show Dance X. She was later cast as a series regular on the U.K. series Britannia High, where she also had a record deal with Universal Records. @IAmRanaRoy

Tam Mutu

Born from a Turkish father and an Italian-Irish Mother in Hastings, Tam is currently playing The Duke in Moulin Rouge. His Broadway credits include Hey, Look Me Over! and The New Yorkers (En­cores!); Doctor Zhivago (Broadway). His UK credits include City of Angels (Donmar Warehouse); Les Misérables (West End); The Royal Hunt of the Sun and Love’s La­bour’s Lost (NT); Romeo and Juliet and King Lear (RSC). @tammutu

Charles Dale

Originally from Wales, Charles is currently playing Father Horrigan in The Ferryman. He was featured in the West End production and his other credits include Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (original cast), Blue Remembered Hills (Sheffield Crucible), Llareggub Revisited (National Theatre of Wales) and Tess of the D’Urbervilles (Royal Exchange). @charlesTdale

Tara Summers

Tara is an English Actor, she moved to America to study and has worked there ever since. She is currently appearing the the Broadway production of INK. Her New York credits include Tom Stoppard’s The Hard Problem (LCT); Yes, Prime Minister (Geffen Playhouse); Gypsy of Chelsea (Studio 54, The Royal Court, Hudson Theatre). @TheTaraSummers



Harry Hadden-Paton

Harry was born and trained as an actor in London, he is currently playing Henry Higgins in the Broadway company of My Fair Lady. His London credits include Importance of Being Earnest, Flare Path, The Pride, She Stoops to Conquer (National Theatre), Posh (Royal Court), The Changeling (Young Vic) and The Prince of Homburg (Donmar Warehouse).

Sean Delaney

Having trained at RADA, Sean was in the West End cast of The Ferryman and is currently reprising his role in the Broadway company. His credits include Rabbit Hole (Hampstead Theatre); Labyrinth (Hampstead Theatre), which earned him a longlist nomination for the Evening Standard Theatre Award's Emerging Talent Award; and The Ferryman (West End). @Sean__Delaney


Samantha Barks

Originally from the Isle of Man, Samantha is currently leading the company of Pretty Woman as Vivian Ward. Mostly known for her role in Les Miserables she also has a successful career in stage, her credits include Cabaret (UK Tour), Les Miserables (Queens Theatre), Oliver (UK tour), City of Angels (Donmar Warehouse) and Velma in Chicago (Hollywood Bowl). @SamanthaBarks

Jonny Lee Miller

Born in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Jonny grew up in the South West of London. He is currently playing Larry Lamb in the Broadway production of INK. He was previously seen on Broadway in After Miss Julie and also earned an Olivier for his turn in Frankenstein at the National Theatre. 



Euan Morton

Originally from Scotland, Euan is currently playing King George in the Broadway company of Hamilton. Fresh from his run in Hedwig and the Angry Inch across America, he also originated the role of Boy George in Taboo in London and New York. Other Broadway credits include Cyrano de Bergerac and Sondheim on Sondheim. 

Bertie Carvel

Born in Marylebone in London, Bertie is currently reprising his Olivier Award winning role in INK on Broadway. He was last on Broadway playing Miss Trunchbill in Matilda, a role he also originated in the West End. His other credits include The Circle (Chichester); Coram Boy(National); Faustus (Etcetera); Rose Bernd & Professor Bernhardi (Arcola) and Revelations (Hampstead). @bertiecarvel

Glenda Jackson

After a 30 year absence from Broadway, Glenda Jackson returns to play the title character in King Lear. She was first cast as King Lear in the Old Vic production in 2016. She was last seen on Broadway in Three Tall Women, Her other credits include Rose (Tony nomination), Strange Interlude (Tony nomination), and Macbeth (Tony nomination).
Glenn Speers

From Northern Ireland, Glenn is currently playing Lawerence Malone in The Ferryman. His credits include he Commitments (Palace), The Bombing of the Grand Hotel (Cockpit, Islington), Qudz (The Yard, Hackney), Ourselves Alone (Samuel Beckett Studio, Trinity College/Dublin), The Lady From the Sea (Courtyard Theatre, Shoreditch). @GlennSpeers
