15 Celebrities you forgot were in Chicago!


Chicago the Musical remains one of the most iconic pieces in the theatre world, with numerous runs in the West End and a long run on Broadway, the revival production is celebrating 25 years since opening on Broadway! The show has been renowned for casting celebrities in the iconic roles, so we picked out a few that you may have forgotten about!  
 
Mel B 


The Spice Girls star played Roxie Hart in the Broadway production back in 2017, having previously appeared as Mimi in RENT, she was no stranger to the Great White Way. 

Jerry Springer 


The TV star already had a hit musical made about his talk show but hadn't made his theatre debut until he took on the role of Billy Flynn in the West End company in 2009, not long after he reprised the role on Broadway. 

Sofia Vergara 


Before appearing in Modern Family the screen star made her Broadway debut in the role of Mama Morton back in 2009 and later appeared in a limited run on the US tour in Miami. 

America Ferrera 


The Ugly Betty and Superstore star isn't known for her musical ability, but when the show moved from the Cambridge Theatre to the Garrick theatre in the West End, she made her theatre debut as Roxie in 2011. 

Jimmy Osmond


The international star starred as Billy Flynn in the 2009 touring company of the show. This came not long after making his West End debut in Grease at the Piccadilly Theatre. 

Kelly Osbourne 


From one of the most famous families in the world, Kelly made her West End debut playing the role of Mama Morton in 2007, at the young age of 22 she must be one of the youngest Mama's they've had! 

David Hasselhoff 


No stranger to the stage, the Baywatch star made his London theatre debut as Billy Flynn back in 2004 after starring in Jekyll and Hyde on Broadway. 

Pamela Anderson 


Our second Baywatch star on the list, Anderson is one of the most recent stars on here to make her Chicago debut. She appeared in the Broadway company in early 2022 as Roxie. 

Usher 


One of the biggest R&B musicians of our time, he made his Broadway debut playing the role of Billy Flynn in 2006. 

Billy Ray Cyrus 


The Country music star and probably now better known as the father to Miley Cyrus, he made his Broadway debut as Billy Flynn in 2012. 

Michael C. Hall 


The Dexter star is no stranger to the stage, before starring as Billy Flynn in the Broadway production in 2002 he had also starred as Emcee in Cabaret at Studio 54 and has since appeared in Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Lazurus. 

Gaby Roslin 


Most famous for her presenting on The Big Breakfast as well as many other TV shows, she played Mama Morton in the West End production back in 2002. 

Christie Brinkley


One of the world's biggest supermodels, she made her Broadway debut in the role of Roxie in 2011 before transferring to the West End. She has since returned to the Broadway production twice (2012 & 2019) and played the role in the US tour. 

Michelle Williams


Best known as one-third of Destinys Child alongside BeyoncĂ© Knowles and Kelly Rowland, she made her West End debut in the role of Roxie Hart in 2009 before transferring to the Broadway production in 2010 and moving to play the role on its US tour. 

Robin Cousins 


The Olympic figure skating champion and Dancing on Ice judge played Billy Flynn in the West End production in 2012, having previously appeared in musicals such as Grease, Cats and The Rocky Horror Show.
