The production was scheduled to run at Charing Cross Theatre to 20 July.

This belated UK professional première production (it opened on Broadway in 2002) was hailed by the critics including Mark Shenton, who awarded it 5 stars and declared: “I absolutely adored it”; Whatsonstage (4 stars) said: “Hannah Chissick’s staging is a beguiling tribute to its legendary composer Michel Legrand, it’s got no shortage of cinematic dazzle, it never misses a beat, and it’s good for the soul”, while Time Out (4 stars) called it “genuinely enchanting” and “utterly gorgeous”.
Amour’s 8 Off West End Award nominations are for Best New Musical, Director (Hannah Chissick) Musical Director (Jordan Li-Smith), Costume Design (Adrian Gee), Lighting Design (Rob Halliday), Sound Design (Andrew Johnson) Male Performance in a Musicall (Gary Tushaw) and Female Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Claire Machin).
The cast features Gary Tushaw, Anna O’Byrne, Alasdair Harvey, Elissa Churchill, Claire Machin, Keith Ramsay, Jack Reitman, Steven Serlin, Alistair So and Laura Barnard.
