Full casting announced for UK tour of CABARET, starring Will Young and Louise Redknapp


A new UK tour of Cabaret is to star Will Young and Louise Redknapp. 

Young will reprise his Olivier-nominated performance as the Emcee in the piece, while Redknapp will make her stage debut as Sally Bowles. 

The production, which is a revival of Rufus Norris' staging, will open on a tour from 21 September at the New Wimbledon Theatre, before touring to Blackpool (2 to 7 October), Cardiff (17 to 21 October), Leeds (24 to 28 October), Milton Keynes (31 October to 4 November), Salford (7 to 11 November), Edinburgh (14 to 18 November), Bromley (21 to 25 November) and Brighton (5 to 9 November). 

They will be joined by Susan Penhaligon/Fraulein Schneider, Charles Hagerty/Cliff Bradshaw, Linal Haft/Herr Schultz, Nick Tizzard/Ernst Ludwig (u/s Schultz),Basienka Blake/Fraulein Kost with ensemble members Katrina Kleve (u/s Sally Bowles), Jordan Livesey (u/s Emcee), Helen Siveter (u/s Kost), Alicia Mencia, Sophie Hirst, Maria Garrett, Hannah Nicholas, Liam Marcellino, Jack Mitchell, Luke Jackson and swingMatthew Wesley

Ever since winning the inaugural series of Pop Idol in 2001, WILL YOUNG has been one of the UK’s most popular and successful music artists. He holds the record for the fastest selling debut single in British chart history, and has enjoyed a phenomenal career in music with four No1 albums, as well as acting alongside Dame Judi Dench in the film Mrs Henderson Presents. Will made his West End debut in Cabaret and will be reprising his award winning performance.

LOUISE REDKNAPP rose to fame as a member of the girl group Eternal. She left the band to carve out a successful solo career achieving an impressive twelve Top 20 singles, including the hits Naked and Stuck in the Middle and selling over 5 million records with 5 albums. Since then she has rarely left our television screens and most recently wowed the nation with her dancing skills finishing ‘runner up’ in the 2016 series of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Cabaret features songs including "Money Makes the World Go Round", "Two Ladies" and "Maybe This Time". Choreography for the production is from Javier De Frutos.
