10 Broadway shows that need to come over to the West End!

Anastasia

This production has only recently opened on Broadway, its run has only spanned over a few months but the rumours are already spreading about possible international productions, London being one of them! We love the film and the new cast recording is one of our most played albums so we can not wait to see this one!

Waitress

A London production of Waitress is allegedly in the works to open next year, we are a huge fan of the music and hope to see it open soon! Who could star in the lead role though? We asked our readers and here are some of the top suggestions!

Dear Evan Hanson

So we hear rumours of this show opening at the Gielgud next year, wether there is much truth in this we don't know! But we think it would fit perfectly in that theatre in prime position on Shaftesbury Avenue. Its safe to say all the stagey will most likely sell out the first year of the show! We're super excited about this one!

 Frozen

After our slightly disappointing visit to see Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre,  we think Frozen should replace it when its ready to come over. Having not even hit Broadway yet the excitement is absolutely buzzing for this show! Its sure to be a hit and we can't wait to see this magical musical open in London.

War Paint

Very different to the other musicals on this list, we are in love with this recording. Their couldn't be a better match than Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole. We're not sure if London would be the ideal market for this show but we would love to get the opportunity to see this in the West End.

Hello, Dolly!

The show of the season, the one everyones been talking about; Hello, Dolly! Of course this was going to be one of the highlights of the year on Broadway with the incredible Bette Midler attached to the show. We'd love for it to come over and be revived here in London and fingers crossed Ms Midler comes over with it!

Bandstand

This show recently announced its closure on Broadway but we are obsessed with the Cast Recording and Laura Osnes is just the perfect human and anything she does is amazing. We're thinking somewhere like The Other Palace would be a perfect place for this show so come on Paul Taylor-Mills, get a move on!

Newsies

This show has been wanting to come over to London for a long time, they even went as far as holding auditions. Maybe they couldn't find the people they were looking for but we hope they come back and open soon because after the DVD of the show, we need this show in our lives very soon!

Pippin

This show looked amazing on Broadway and with a recent production of it opening in Manchester we're hoping to see the show come over. Yank! transferred into London from the same theatre so we'd love to see a transfer of this show sometime soon!

Aida

Aida is one of our favourite shows and with it never making it over the the UK, we think it would be a fabulous time to open it! We're thinking a production at the ENO with Cynthia Erivo, Louise Dearman and Hugh Jackman. Go big or go home, right?!
